**For family privacy, Tall Trees does not publish photos of child care clients to this website. Otherwise, there would be lots of photos of kids having serious fun right here.
At Tall Trees, we engage in a variety of activities to encourage off-screen play time. Outside, we continue to expand play with tricycles, sports equipment, a sandbox, tree house, log round trail, giant slip and slide (summer only) and swing set. We teach the children respect for animals and celebrate animals in our lives with a birthday for our lab and feeding treats to the chickens. We know our neighbors and deliver flowers to their doorstep for May Day and then ring the bell and hide behind the bushes. Inside the house, we play kids songs on Alexa and dance and tumble on our large gymnastics mat. We have many card and board games to develop memory skills and teach kids how to wait their turn, count spaces, and try again. Puzzles, Perler beads, stickers, mini zen gardens, play dough and diamond art painting are popular calming past times. Kids use their imaginations, along with our costumes and props to play family, zoo, mermaid and magic games together. The changing seasons and holidays are celebrated with themed arts and crafts. Paints, beads, clay, pipe cleaners, card stock and Popsicle sticks are stocked at the ready for when creativity strikes. Kids are invited into the kitchen to make their own mini pizzas for lunch or to help make banana bread for afternoon snack. We have a large collection of children’s books which we rotate seasonally and read aloud together.
